Rust Wipe Schedule
Rust force wipes on the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UTC — the fixed monthly reset every server in the game takes. Community servers add their own weekly or biweekly wipes in between. Below: the next twelve force wipes, the same moment in ten regions, and how the three cadences fit together.

Force wipe vs weekly vs biweekly
Three different things get called “the wipe”. Only the first is fixed game-wide.
| Wipe type | When | What resets | Who decides |
|---|---|---|---|
| Force wipe | First Thursday monthly, 19:00 UTC | Map on every server; blueprints on official servers | Facepunch — mandatory |
| Weekly wipe | Usually Thursdays, same hour | Map only as a rule — blueprints normally kept | Server owner — optional |
| Biweekly wipe | Every 14 days from that server’s own last wipe | Map only as a rule | Server owner — optional |
A biweekly server’s dates depend on when it last wiped, so there is no global calendar for them — check a server’s own cycle in the server browser.

Weekly wipe schedule
Most weekly servers reset on Thursday at the same hour as force wipe. These are the next six Thursday resets — the flagged ones are force-wipe days, when weekly and monthly land together and blueprints may go with them.
| Weekly reset | Time (UTC) | Also force wipe? |
|---|---|---|
| Thu, 3 Sept 2026 | 19:00 | Yes — full force wipe |
| Thu, 10 Sept 2026 | 19:00 | No — map only |
| Thu, 17 Sept 2026 | 19:00 | No — map only |
| Thu, 24 Sept 2026 | 19:00 | No — map only |
| Thu, 1 Oct 2026 | 19:00 | Yes — full force wipe |
| Thu, 8 Oct 2026 | 19:00 | No — map only |
Planning around the schedule
The schedule is what makes Rust plannable. A base started on force-wipe Thursday has a full month before the next mandatory reset, so it is worth building for upkeep you can sustain rather than the biggest thing you can afford on day one. Work out what a layout costs to hold across a whole cycle in the upkeep calculator, or compare complete builds on base designs.
PC and console
The dates on this page are the PC schedule. Console Rust runs on its own update train and usually lands in the same first-Thursday window, but the exact date and time can differ — see the console wipe page for that platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Rust wipe schedule?expand_more
Rust force wipes on the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UTC, when Facepunch ships the monthly update. That is the one date every server in the game follows. On top of it, most community servers run their own weekly or biweekly wipe, usually also on a Thursday, so in practice there is a wipe most weeks and a full reset once a month.
When is the next Rust force wipe?expand_more
The next force wipe is the first Thursday of the coming month. The panel at the top of this page shows the exact date, the time in your region, and how many days away it is; the next twelve are listed in the calendar below.
What time does Rust force wipe?expand_more
Around 19:00 UTC — roughly 2pm US Eastern, 11am US Pacific and 9pm in Central Europe, with daylight saving shifting those local times through the year. Facepunch pushes the update at about that hour and servers restart to pick it up over the following minutes rather than all at once, so allow a little slack instead of queueing at the exact minute.
What is the difference between a force wipe and a weekly wipe?expand_more
A force wipe is mandatory and monthly: the map regenerates and, on official servers, blueprints reset with it. A weekly wipe is the server owner's own choice — normally a map-only reset that leaves blueprints alone, so you keep what you have learned and start again on fresh terrain.
Do blueprints wipe every month?expand_more
The monthly force wipe resets the map on every server, but whether blueprints go with it is set per server. Official servers wipe blueprints at force wipe; many community servers keep blueprints and wipe only the map. Check the server you actually play on rather than assuming.
Do all Rust servers wipe at the same time?expand_more
At force wipe, effectively yes — every server has to take the update. Between force wipes they scatter: weekly servers wipe on their own chosen day, biweekly servers wipe every fourteen days counted from their own last wipe, and some run custom cycles entirely.
Does Rust console wipe on the same schedule as PC?expand_more
Console Rust runs its own update train. It usually lands in the same first-Thursday window, but the exact date and time can differ from PC, so treat the dates on this page as the PC schedule.
