How do I find a Rust server that just wiped?expand_more
Use the 'Just wiped' filter above — it shows servers that reset within the last 24 hours, sorted by how busy they are. Joining on wipe day means everyone starts from scratch, which is the fairest time to jump into a server you've never played.
What's the difference between vanilla and modded Rust servers?expand_more
Vanilla servers run Rust as Facepunch ships it — default gather rates, default crafting, no plugins. Modded servers change things: faster gather (2x, 5x, 10x), instant crafting, kits, or custom rules. Vanilla is the 'real' experience and usually the harder grind; modded is faster and more forgiving.
How many players should a good Rust server have?expand_more
It depends what you want. A high-population server (200+) means constant PvP and busy monuments but heavy competition for loot. A quieter server (under 100) gives you room to build and farm. The population bar on each server above shows how full it is right now.
What does 'queued' mean on a Rust server?expand_more
The server is full, and that's how many people are waiting to get in. A long queue is a sign of a genuinely popular server, but you'll be sat waiting — and if you disconnect, you rejoin at the back.
When do Rust servers wipe?expand_more
Every server sets its own schedule, but almost all wipe the map at least monthly — forced by Facepunch's first-Thursday update. Many community servers also wipe weekly, usually on Thursdays. Each server above shows when it last wiped and when it's due next.
