Frequently Asked Questions

How much upkeep does a Rust base cost?expand_more

It depends on size. Rust bills the first 15 building blocks at 10% of build cost per day, the next 50 at 15%, the next 125 at 20% and the rest at 33.3%, then applies the blended rate to the whole base, doors included. How full the tool cupboard is does not change the rate, only how long the stock lasts.

What happens if upkeep runs out?expand_more

Once the tool cupboard is empty, your structures start to decay and will eventually be destroyed. Keep it stocked with the right resources for your building tier.
