Reworks progression by requiring Blueprint Fragments, found at monuments and in crates, to craft higher-tier workbenches. It also finally adds native crosshair customisation and upgrades the Nuclear Missile Silo to red-card status.

What's new in Meta Shift

Blueprint Fragments required for higher-tier workbenches
Crosshair customisation with import/export
Spike Trap (80 wood) that slows and damages players
Drone storage slot holding one item stack
Shore crates on spawn beaches
Nuclear Missile Silo upgraded from blue to red card

Release date

Meta Shift released on 2 October 2025. Named Rust updates ship on the first Thursday of the month and land alongside a force wipe, so this is also the day every server's map reset. If you're working out when the next one lands, the wipe timer tracks it.
