Rust World Update 2.0

A large procedural-generation overhaul reworking cliffs into tall coastal and sloped inland types, revamping rock formations, and adding canyons, lakes and oases to generated maps. It also returns the legacy Radtown monument in refreshed form.

Release date

World Update 2.0 released on 3 October 2024. Named Rust updates ship on the first Thursday of the month and land alongside a force wipe, so this is also the day every server's map reset. If you're working out when the next one lands, the wipe timer tracks it.
