Rust Clan Base Design (2026)
For large groups · 4x4 compound, three storeys, sheet metal shell with an armored loot core and a stone wall perimeter
A large compound for a full group — multiple loot rooms, turret coverage, and deep honeycomb. Expensive to build and upkeep but very hard to fully raid.
Clan Base build cost
The reference build we cost is a 4x4 compound, three storeys, sheet metal shell with an armored loot core and a stone wall perimeter — 140 building blocks plus doors and a tool cupboard. Every rate below is the in-game cost per piece, so you can re-run the totals against your own layout.
| Piece | Qty | Cost each |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet metal building blocks | 120 | 200 metal frags |
| Armored building blocks | 20 | 25 HQM |
| Armored door | 4 | 20 HQM + 5 gears |
| Garage door | 2 | 300 metal frags + 2 gears |
| Sheet metal door | 6 | 150 metal frags |
| High external stone wall | 12 | 4,000 stone |
| Tool cupboard | 1 | 1,000 wood |
| Total | 48,000 stone · 25,500 metal frags · 580 HQM · 1,000 wood · 24 gears | |
Clan Base upkeep
A full tool cupboard drains roughly 10% of build cost per day, per resource. That means this design costs the following just to keep standing:
Over a full seven-day wipe cycle that is 33,600 stone, 17,850 metal frags, 406 HQM, 700 wood — the number worth checking before you commit to a size. Work out how long your TC lasts.
What it costs to raid
Hard-side cost of breaking every structure on the cheapest route from outside to the loot room.
| Raider has to break | Rockets | C4 |
|---|---|---|
| 3× Sheet Metal Wall | 24 | 12 |
| 1× Armored Wall | 15 | 8 |
| Total | 39 | 20 |
That is 54,600 sulfur in rockets, or 44,000 sulfur in C4. Compare every explosive.
