The Headline: Caves

Caves are the big one. They're procedural and — importantly — buildable, coming in three sizes across three difficulty tiers, with ore nodes and lootable minecarts inside. That's a genuinely new place to put a base, not just a new place to loot.

Alongside them, Radtown arrives as a new monument with radiation, a recycler and a Green Keycard puzzle, plus radioactive water and a reworked Water Well that now has a vendor NPC, a food cache and a planter. The skin store was rebuilt too, with a Legacy Skins tab for older cosmetics.

Console Patch History

Console runs a roughly monthly patch cadence, on its own track rather than mirroring PC's devblogs.

Is Console Behind PC?

It's the obvious question, and the honest answer is that "behind" is the wrong frame. Console isn't PC Rust on a delay — it's a separate build by Double Eleventhat receives its own features on its own schedule. PC's July 2026 update brought the Apartment Complex, rentable shops and a clan system; console's recent work has been the World 2.0 series. They're different roadmaps.

You'll see confident claims that console is "X months behind". No official source states any such figure, so we don't publish one. What's observable is the cadence: roughly one console patch a month through 2026.

Patch details verified 2026-07-16 from Double Eleven's official patch notes and FAQ. Console patches land roughly monthly — check the official notes for anything newer than patch 1.13.
