Basic Ore Tea
Basic Ore Tea is the first-tier ore tea, brewed at a Mixing Table from berries. Drinking it increases ore yield from nodes by 20% for 30 minutes and restores 30 hydration.
How to Make Ore Tea in Rust
Basic Ore Tea is 2 Yellow Berries and 2 Blue Berries at a Mixing Table — no blueprint required, five seconds to brew. It's the cheapest tier of the three ore teas (Basic, Advanced, Pure), and the one worth learning first.
You need a Mixing Table first
The Mixing Table is the actual gate here, not the berries — you can't brew any tea without one placed and powered in your base. Once it's up, the berry cost barely matters; a couple of farm plots or a short foraging loop covers it easily.
Why bother over just mining
It's +20% ore yield from nodes for 30 minutes, stacked on top of whatever multitool or explosive method you're already using to farm. If you're doing a dedicated ore run — stone, sulfur ore, metal ore — brewing a batch beforehand is close to free value for the five seconds it costs to make.
Upgrading to Advanced or Pure
Advanced Ore Tea uses Basic Ore Tea as an ingredient alongside more berries, and Pure follows the same pattern from Advanced — so the tiers build on each other rather than being separate recipes. Brew a stock of Basic first if you're planning to push further up the chain.
