You need a blue keycard and a fuse. That's the full requirement to run the Train Yard puzzle — put the fuse in to power the room, then swipe the cards. Keycards are single-use per swipe, so bring spares if you plan to run it more than once, and don't count on finding one on site.

Yes, Train Yard has a recycler on site. That matters more than it sounds — you can break components down into scrap before you leave instead of hauling them home, which cuts what you're carrying if you die on the way back.

Train Yard has medium radiation, so bring rad-resistant gear — a hazmat suit covers it comfortably. Radiation protection stacks from individual clothing pieces too, so a full set of decent gear can be enough without a dedicated suit.

Train Yard is a medium-radiation monument, so a hazmat suit — 50% radiation protection in one slot — is the default answer. A high-resist clothing stack with a lead armor insert or an anti-rad tea also works for shorter runs, but cloth-only players get hurt here.
